The SOS training center is equipped with PC's utilizing the latest software.
The self-paced tutorials allow you to customize your learning so you can
get the maximum benefit of learning new software or enhance existing skills.
Train at your own pace in a productive and positive environment. As an
SOS temporary, this valuable training is available at no charge.

If you are seeking permanent employment with our institution, working
as a temporary will give you valuable university experience and exposure

Services and Discounts
Temporary employees do not qualify for vacation, sick leave, holiday pay,
medical insurance or educational assistance. However, there are many recreation
and leisure opportunities as well as discounts on some products and services

Parking
All employees pay to park at the University. During orientation, you
will be given a parking permit request form from Parking and Transportation
services. You may obtain your parking permit at Turner Avenue Parking
Garage, Level 2. You will be issued a parking permit, a list of authorized
lots and a map of the campus. Payroll deductions may be used to cover
the cost of parking. Be sure to park only in authorized lots. Students
do not qualify for employee parking during the school year.
Identification
Badges
To obtain your University picture identification, you must take an application provided and signed by the SOS Manager to University Bookstore in Brady Commons. The I.D. office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. -12 noon and 1–5 p.m. Please wear this badge while you are on assignment.
Internet/E-mail
A University email account will be set up for SOS temps in clerical
titles. All temps are expected to adhere to the University of Missouri
Acceptable Use Policy .
Internet access is available in most departments, however the University
does not permit personal use of those resources. . Misuse or abuse
of the Internet or Email is grounds for immediate dismissal.
Workers Compensation
All University employees, including student employees are covered
under Workers' Compensation for work-related accidents or incurred occupational
diseases.
If you are injured:
Notify your supervisor immediately.
If the injury requires routine and/or urgent treatment, you may
proceed directly to the Urgent Care Center at University Hospital
and Clinics. If the injury requires emergency care, the employee may
receive care from the nearest medical facility. Report all instances
within 24 hours to SOS so that a "Report of Injury" can
be filed by this office.
